ABOUT
Here I am
Nice to meet you
I’m a Senior UX Designer at IBM Research specializing in interaction design for AI-powered applications. My work sits at the intersection of emerging technology and human-centered design—I translate cutting-edge research into intuitive, trustworthy, and scalable product experiences. I stay deeply connected to the latest AI advancements and continuously evolve my design approach to support innovation through strong cross-functional collaboration.
With 10+ years of design experience—including 6 years focused on AI—I’ve led end-to-end design for multiple AI products and demonstrations, contributed to 8+ patents, and co-authored 20+ top-tier HCI/AI publications. I’m also a strong advocate for democratizing user research, coaching non-UX partners to leverage user insights, and strengthening user-centered practices across teams.
A guiding principle in my AI work is that AI is a tool—not the cure. I apply first-principles thinking to unpack true user goals, identify the essential tasks required to achieve them, and determine where AI can meaningfully automate or augment the experience. In high-risk or ambiguity-prone moments, I intentionally design lightweight trust-calibration checkpoints or experimental sandboxes that help users inspect, adjust, or rewind the AI’s decisions while maintaining flow and confidence. This balance enables me to design AI workflows that are powerful, transparent, and genuinely human-driven.
Currently, I’m focused on 0-to-1 productization of emerging AI technologies—designing agentic LLM experiences and trustworthy, human-in-the-loop workflows that support model adoption and evaluation. My recent work includes leading design for EvalAssist to enable trustworthy LLM evaluation, serving as a core designer for the Granite 4 Agentic Playground, the Agent Testbed, and other initiatives, and building a Demo Enablement Design System that accelerates research-to-product translation across IBM Research.

Design with Research
To deepen and iterate understanding towards users and use cases along the process

Design via Collaboration
To engage everyone with different expertises to challenge ideas from diverse perspectives

Design as Product Definition
To refine and further breakdown the problems to solve to satisfy user’s needs

Design via facilitation
To create fast low-fi prototype to trigger concretize discussion and promote effective communications
